Cars parked on Mason St in front of Karl Ratzsch's German restaurant, established in 1904 by chef Otto Hermann as Hermann's Cafe. Hermann sold it to his stepdaughter Helen (Mama) and her husband Karl (Papa) Ratzsch Sr. a few years later. They moved the restaurant to its current location and changed the name to Karl Ratzsch's.
