Schlitz Palm Garden, attached to the Schlitz Hotel. Dome ceiling designed to be similar to the Auditorium Hotel in Chicago. The Palm Gardens were visited by many famous people, including Woodrow Wilson.
Schlitz Palm Garden Interior. N 3rd St. Built in 1895. Designed by the architect Charles Kirchoff, Jr. Due to Prohibition it was closed in 1919. It had table seating for 450. In 1921 the building was converted into a movie theater known as the Garden Theater. The theater closed its doors in 1960. The building was razed in 1964.
