- Description
Since 1816: A Romance of Chambers Island is a booklet written by W. C. Jenkins and published by the Chambers Island Company around 1915 to detail the eponymous island's history and geography, as well as propose development in order to create a resort area where tourists can take in its natural beauty while partaking in fishing, yachting and golf. Plans for a scenic highway and air strip are also mentioned. Two landscape photographs of the island, and two maps, one being a regional map of multiple states and the other a map of the island alone, are included.
