This photographic image was donated to the Friends of Mead Public Library for their Centennial Photography Project. Michael Winter was the founder of the Winter Lumber Company, 1865. He immigrated to Sheboygan County from Germany in 1853. He was the Sheriff of Sheboygan County in 1866. He was mayor of the City of Sheboygan from 1882 to 1884.
