This 1871 map of the state of Wisconsin shows counties, cities over 3000 inhabitants and county seats. Also depicted are rivers, lakes, railroads completed, railroads projected, the Detroit and Milwaukee Steam Ship Line, the Grand Trunk Railroad Steamship Line, and parts of the bordering states of Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota. Also given are the lengths, widths and sea levels of lakes Superior and Michigan.
