A group of miners in work clothes pose with tools in front of rock pile. Photo was donated by Mrs. Robert Edge of Platteville, Wisconsin in June 1974. The back of the photo reads: "From Al Cardy's youngest daughter; Mrs. Ethel A. Cardy or now Mrs. Ethel A Edge, wife of Robert J. Edge, Platteville." J. W. Murphy, Attorney at Cuba City, wrote on June 18, 1974 after examining this photo: "I want to thank you for sending the picture taken at the Enterprise Mine located on the Alcot property in the City of Platteville, on east Mineral Street. I think the property is now or was within recent years a junk yard. Checking the picture I recognize Mr. Tremilling the boss in front, I think that is your father beside him and also Ed Jones. Behind your father is Alcot and behind him is my father James W. Murphy. The couple at the top are the Alcot children. At the top back is a white haired man possibly West Grindell.
