This map is watercolor and pen on paper and relief shown by contours. The map reads: "Contour interval 10 feet." Shown on the map are geological features and contour lines at intervals of 10 ft. for area west side of Madison, Wisconsin bounded approximately by Lake Mendota on the north, Midvale Blvd. on the west, Franklin Ave. on the east, and a line approximate 2 kilometers north of Hillcrest Dr. on the south. The map also shows drifts, lower magnesian limestone, Madison sandstone, Mendota limestone, and Potsdam sandstone.
