- Description
Map of North America east of Mexico showing important cities, the colonies, regions, Native American land, mountains, lakes, and rivers. A series of lakes, connected by an unnamed river, extend from Lake Superior to Lake Ouinipigon (Winnipeg) and beyond. A small note just under Lake Ouinipigon reads "River of the Assenipouels supposed to fall into the Western Ocean." An elaborate floral frame encloses the title cartouche.
