Closeup view of carriage entrance to the Mitchell home. Facing Wisconsin Avenue the beautiful wrought iron entrance gates are anchored to carved limestone posts with the wrought iron fence (1871) continuing around the estate atop limestone walls.
Residence of Alexander Mitchell from construction in 1848 until his death in April 1887.
