Raised in Norway. Emigrated to America in 1901. He worked as a carpenter for many years in Richland County, Wisconsin. Married: 1907 to Anna Zimpel Oman (1890-1976). Farmed in Richland County, Wisconsin for several years. Children: Viva Oman (1909-1925), Esther Bertha Oman (1910-1945), Edith Freda Oman Preston (1913-2001), Everett Oman, Harry Adolf Oman (1918-1996), Albert Oman, Ruth Oman. Lived for a time in Richland County, Wisconsin. Director of the Wisconsin Milk Pool and owned and operated a lumber yard and farm implement business at Boscobel, Wisconsin. Died: 7 Aug 1933, at his home in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Buried: Boscobel, Wisconsin cemetery
