The Kenosha Times, August 13, 1857, printed this advertisement for William Jenefer, the new owner of a barber shop on Main Street that was formerly occupied by George Crissup. The advertised barber shop offered the services of shaving, hair-cutting, shampooing, and dyeing. Private rooms for shampooing ladies hair were available.
