- Description
This folder contains part of a scrapbook assembled by Julia Alcott Lapham, Increase Allen Lapham's daughter, on the life of her father. The articles discuss a wide variety of topics, from laws, rare books, meteorology, and the erection of a monolith, but nearly all of them are in some manner related to the life or works of Lapham. A few articles focus on the death of some of Lapham's colleagues and friends, and a sizable number discuss the life and death of Lapham himself. Articles taken from the following periodicals: The Milwaukee Sentinel; Yenowine's News; Evening Wisconsin; Milwaukee Republican; Daily Evening Traveller; The Journal; Sentinel & Gazette; Chicago Tribune; Bulletin of the Torrey Botanical Club; Daily Citizen; Madison Democrat; Forecast Official; The Herald.
