This picture accompanied a newspaper article entitled, 'City Nears Its 105th Birthday, Hazeltines Found Water, Built Mill, and Richland Center Was Founded', published in Madison, WI: The Capital Times, 5 Jan 1957. Captioned: “EVERY EARLY-DAY COMMUNITY had its meeting place where the issues of the day were thrashed out, and where joys and sorrows brought the people together. Such was Krouskop Hall in Richland Center. Here the hall is decorated for memorial service for President Garfield following his assassination.”
