Three story, brick row houses with four entrances and porches visible. Lower level windows seen between stair cases. Large street trees in foreground.
Apartments N.W. corner of N. Jackson and East Juneau Ave. Enclosed photo of October 1959, of tenement building shown, or as a "brick block" also as a brick block of four houses, as these style of buildings were know as or called at the time it was built in 1858, and razed August 1963, and the site or lot up to the present remains vacant. Location at present known as north-west corner of East Juneau Avenue and North Jackson Street, and at the time this building was built it was then known as Division and Jackson Streets. Building was erected or built for the owner, as Joseph Ody, an attorney-lawyer, who died in Germany, 1871 and the property remained in the Ody relationship for quite a number of years thereafter. Also located in this building what was known as the Wheelock Girls or Ladies Select School, a fashionable school for girls, from around the year 1864 up to 1876, established by Martha R. Wheelock and assisted by her sister, Fannie S. Wheelock, also as the residence of the Wheel
