Street view of five story Italianate Northwestern Mutual building at northwest corner of East Michigan and North Broadway. Cars parked along street and pedestrians visible.
Building located a the northwest coner of East Michigan and North Broadway Streets, and when built was the former home of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. This building occupies the site of the former Newhall House, or Hotel, which was destroyed by fire in 1883. The tall building in the distance now known as the Railway Exchange Building, formerly known as the Herman Building.
