- Description
Front Picture Description: Black and white image of many men and one little girl, many unidentified all on or around the threshing equipment set up in a field. Clarence Walker’s farm was located in section 28 of Sylvan Township according to the 1951 plat map. Back Print: Kodak Picture Maker PAPER Back Writing: p000493-06 Accompanying Letter: p000493-06, Lone Rock, WI December 4, 2002 Dear Twilah, After reading the threshing article in the paper recently, I thought you might be interested in another threshing picture which was taken on the Clarence Walker farm near Sylvan. I am not sure when the picture was taken, however, some of the Popp family might be able to date it by the approximate age of the little girl in the front. The names which my Mother had written on the back of the picture are: Foreground, left to right, Otto Walker ??, Frank Popp, Ed Alderman, Bill McAfee, Iva Popp, and Johnny Popp. Ed Alderman owned a threshing machine and did threshing in that area at that time.
