This map shows lot and block numbers, wards, roads, railroads, some landowners' names, and selected buildings. Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee River, and Glidden & Lockwood's addition are labeled. An index includes public buildings, churches, and schools. Notably, this map differs from an earlier 1857 map by correctly labeled wards 6 (upper right) and 9 (upper left), as well as inclusion of Kane's Addition along border in upper right, Malory & Kern's Addition in upper left, Parmer & Co's Addition at right along Spring Street Road, etc.
