White ungrained cloth. Gold and green stamping on front. Gold stamping on spine. No decoration on back. Cream endpapers. Top gilt.
From Minsky: Second copy, identical inside, with white, gold, and dark green stamping on white cloth. Original copy gold, light and dark green stamping on light green cloth. Designed by Margaret Armstrong (Gullans and Espey, 1991).
