The NAACP Youth Council picketed Alderman Dwyer's house in 1967. Although he claimed to be supportive of integration, Dwyer did not believe it was legal for the government to interfere with private home owners.
Ald. Dwyer invites group to his dining room for short chat. They came to no agreement. July 1967.
