Looking southeast toward the Falconer House at 106 North Main Street in winter. The house was built for John S. and Lottie Towner Falconer in 1897 by the Williams and Grover construction company. Charles H. Williams, Angie Cox's uncle, was the architect. It was featured on the front page of the December 23, 1898 issue of the Pardeeville Crank newspaper, which was published by Charles' brother, Robert M. Williams, Angie's father. A notable feature of the house was the considerable amount of ornamental bric-a-brac and the distinctive tower on the northwest corner. The side not shown had a good share of ornamentation and a curved roof line near the bottom of the east side of the gable. John Falconer was a successful and well liked businessman who owned and operated a large dry goods store on the west side of downtown, across from Warnke's Corner. His wife's family was active in black smithing and the saloon business in Wyocena. John's mother was Susan van Schaick who operate
