Street view looking southeast acroos intersection of Highland and North Third St. at Wm. Steinmeyer building. Automobiles parked on street. Mader's parking lot wall visible at far right foreground. Usingers Sausage Co. to the right of Steinmeyers.
Mar 1963. Steinmeyer Lot 1 blk 48 on west side of river. SE corner W. Highland Ave - N. 3rd St. - largest retail grocery business in Milw. At this location since 1893. Popular store. Steinmeyer died May 10, 1892. Site was occupied 1855 by former fairly large size building. Business finally ended in 1949.
