This film begins in New York at the port of the Cunard Queen Mary Cruise Ship, May 20th, 1949. There are scenes of the ship and passengers on the ship. The first scenes of England are London at the Hampton Court Palace, the Astronomical Clock, Anne Boleyn's Gate, and Henry VIII gardens surrounding the palace. The next part of the film shows the Windsor Castle, Saint George's Chapel, Norman Gate, Upper Ward, Round Tower, Albert Memorial, and the Kensington Gardens. Also seen in London is the Victoria Memorial, Buckingham Palace, Queen's Gardens, Thames River, and the Tower Bridge. The Herzfelds travel to Paris with scenes of La Madeleine Church, Luxor Obelisk, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower and views from the top, Pont Alexandre III, Les Invalides, and the Palace of Versailles. Palace of Fontainebleau in France, La Bastille Grenoble Fortress and cable car, and scenes of southern France.
