Image Description: Black and white interior photograph of a barber shop with 2 chairs, 2 barbers, and 2 men being barbered. There is a large mirror and counter along the right wall with a United States flag hanging in front of one of the mirrors. The flag has 45 stars on it which was the United States flag from 1896 until 1908. Signs in Photograph: WETMORE’S HAIR TONIC Back Print: County Room Brewer Library Back Writing: P000522-01, Avis Spangler – Donar, Barber Shop – Richland Co – Circa 1910 (Believed to be in Viola.) Accession Book Description: P522 BARBER SHOP – RICHLAND COUNTY – ca 1910 Interior of a barber shop believed to have been in Viola. Although this picture was printed in the Richland Center and Viola newspapers, no definite identification was made. Several persons thought it to be Viola. Buildings across the street in the picture show it could well be Viola. Donor of the picture, Avis Spangler, remarked it had to be in Viola, West Lima or Richland Center.
